WINTER SEMINARS 2008
***ALL NET PROCEEDS TO THE RNLI***
Wednesday 16th January 2008 at 7.45pm Kinsale Yacht Club
Heavy weather Sailing
By
Des McWilliams - UK McWilliams Sails, Cork
Tickets €10
Following on from the success of the Winter Seminars last year, four lectures have been organised for this year. The first of the lectures will be given by Des McWilliam on Wednesday 16th January at 19:45.
The subject of this lecture will be “Heavy weather sailing”. He will advise us on how to prepare for and deal with rough sailing and weather conditions and show us how to come out the other side in one piece (both boat and crew).
Des McWilliams has recently competed in and finished the 2007 Rolex Middle Sea Race in which only a quarter of the fleet completed the course due to the heavy conditions and Des will inspire us with his experiences from this on what is expected to be a very motivating evening.
He will be open to questions from the floor and no doubt a lively and entertaining debate will follow! Tickets are Eur 10.00 and please note that the net proceeds from these seminars will be donated to the RNLI.
To book your place please contact Anne Kelly (info@kyc.ie) or Zoë (zoe_glendinning@yahoo.com)
