The Irish IRC Nationals kicked off today in Crosshaven. Hosted by the Royal Cork Yacht Club, there are over seventy boats spread over four classes which is broken into two race courses.
The weather turned for the better on the sunny south aand produced wind speeds up fifteen knots which allowed enough breeze for the race committee to get in to races on both courses. Racing was tight amoungst the fleets with the committee embroiled in several protests, particularly in class zero.
Racing continues till Sunday.
