The simulator will offer people the opportunity to see exactly what Life at the Extreme is like on board a 70ft Volvo Ocean Race Yacht. This 3 minute ride will take you through a thrilling simulation of the legendary Volvo Ocean Race - a unique sailing experience without having to go anywhere near the water!!
The Volvo Ocean Race is the world's most grueling ocean adventure. A race that that takes place on board Volvo Ocean 70 High Performance racing yachts capable of speeds of 45 knots, consists of 10 legs. The race starts from Alicante in Spain on 4 October. The finishing line is in St Petersburg, Russia, on 27 June, 2009 after stops in Cape Town (South Africa), Kochi (India), Singapore, Qingdao (China), Brazil (Rio de Janeiro), Boston (USA), Galway (Ireland), Göteborg (Sweden) and Stockholm (Sweden). Ireland’s entry to the Race is ‘The Green Team’ .
