Boats featured are Antix Eile (Silver Glove), Jump and Voodoo all of which are part of the Irish White team challenging for the Rolex Commodores Cup next month.

 Green Team Say 'Thank You' to China

The Green Team celebrated the completion of their new Volvo Open 70 with a "Thank You China Event" at McConaghy Boats in Zhuhai China. Construction started in October and has been completed on schedule, with the boat due to leave on a ship bound for the UK on 8th May.

Peter O'Leary & Stephen Milne have been recommended to the OCI as Ireland's representatives in the Star class at the 2008 Olympics. On 1st May the ISA board unanimously accepted the recommendation of the Olympic Sailing Group (OSG) to nominate O'Leary & Milne following their exceptional campaign.

George Knights and DIT have qualified for the ISAF 2009 Team Racing Worlds. The top four teams from this years' Nationals were invited to the qualifying event in the RSt.GYC in Dun Laoghaire on 26th April. The one day, 30 race regatta in Fireflies, decided two IRL teams for Perth, Australia, next February.

 Library PhotoThis was the third race of the Matthews of Cork April League in Kinsale and it was a bright, sunny morning with a shifty north westerly wind blowing between 15 – 19 knots over a flat sea.  There was a general recall sounded at the first attempt at getting Classes 1 & 0 away.  No more messing at the second start under “Z flag”; with a clean start for all.
